They change the fries a few weeks ago. I am not a fan of the waffle or McDonald's style stick fries. The old fries were some of the best in town. I hoping that in leaving this review, they will bring back the old fries, which were a dear favorite of mine.

Their fries are so good, but I am BEGGING them to update their menu so it's accurate. Every time I order a burger it comes out wrong, because the menu is wrong and the employees forget to mention a topping or two when I ask. Great drinks selection and the food is always ready super fast, they just need to be able to accurately tell people what comes on a damn burger.

I’m not in the area of Ballard where Choice Deli is, but since I was in the area I stopped by. I’ve heard they do a great job with teriyaki, so I got a spicy chicken teriyaki combo to go. The place itself is nice. I’m not certain, but I think this place has been here for a while but they renovated it recently. There are tables to sit at inside and you order at the front counter. The place is a store and restaurant. They also sell beers on tap. They have a wide variety of wine and beer and their grocery section isn’t too bad either. Back to the food, the wait wasn’t too long and it feels shorter if you’re looking for stuff to buy. I’ve gotta say their teriyaki is legit. The spicy teriyaki was definitely on the spicier side and it tasted great. The chicken was cooked properly and the rice was tender as well. The gyoza were nicely deep-fried and the side salad with cabbage had the necessary Japanese salad dressing. I’m glad I visited and I hope to go back soon.

Update: I've lived and worked near Choice for nearing 5 years now, and sadly the quality has suffered lately. Every single time I order the burger the bacon on top is practically uncooked. I dont mind it a little floppy but it actually looks like it was seared for less than 10 seconds on either side. Even when I ask for it extra extra crispy, half the time its still raw in spots. Teriyaki is still pretty good, though I feel like the portions are less generous. Original review, 2019- I just moved into the neighborhood and this place is the bane of my existence. I have to walk past here and resist the urge to buy their teriyaki every day. Its crispy, fast, and just absolutely fantastic. I've tried lots of places and this is the best quick teriyaki I've found in seattle so far.
